Paramahansa Yogananda

In a minute is eternity because eternity can be experienced in that minute. Every day and minute and hour is a window through which you can see eternity... Life is sweet and death is a dream... When you rise above your present finite consciousness, and look at life through the mind of God, you will see that you are eternal.

Our Founder

Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda

With a resolution to share unshackling truths, Gurudeva founded his first school at Dihika to give his educational ideals a practical shape.

Continuing the ancient Indian tradition fostered by Swami Sri Yukteswarji, he sought to create an environment where students could develop the "full nature of manhood". For over a century, this flame has been nurtured by YSS, focusing on the spiritual values and "How-to-Live" principles that remain Gurudeva’s principal objective.

About YSEI

Yogoda Satsanga Educational Institution (YSEI) was established under the auspices of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS of India).

A leading spiritual and charitable organization, founded by Sri Sri Paramahansa Yoganandaji (the author of the world-renowned spiritual classic, Autobiography of a Yogi). YSS is managed by his monastic disciples. The Mahavidyalaya's motto "Knowledge acquisition towards Self-actualization" bears its origin from the Mahavakya as propagated by Lord Krishna in the Bhagvad Gita: 'Tadvidwipranipatena pariprashnenasevaya (IV, 34)'.

This means — A disciple who is in tune with the guru: by self-surrender, by intelligent questions, and by selfless service, learns through unalterable devotion to perceive the Spirit behind the egoless transparency of the guru’s personality. The society has been relentlessly imparting quality education for the last one-hundred years.
